Resurrection is one of those electronica tracks that really stick out for me; for the longest time, I'd hum the main melody line and wonder what the song was called, and I was pleasantly surprised whenever the song played on Energy 92.7/5. Thankfully, my old roommate Brenn acquired a copy, and shared with me the intimate details of the until-then mysterious Russian trance tune. For a more elaborate explanation of the song's origin and mood, read the exerpt below:

"This suitably stratospheric trance track originated in Russia and was reportedly recorded to commemorate man's first trip into space. It samples the theme from the 1979 Russian film Sibiriada, to good effect, and has been given the Paul Oakenfold stamp of approval (he promptly snapped it up for his Perfecto label), while also becoming a favourite of Radio 1 DJs Judge Jules and Dave Pearce. Get ready for lift-off."

Brenn's gift was the last nail in the coffin: once I had the audio file in hand, I knew I'd be putting Resurrection into Plaguemix Three!
